Hare or Tortoise – which one are you?

This week, Year 2 had the opportunity to watch a super performance of Aesop’s ‘The Hare and the Tortoise’ by the Nottingham Playhouse theatre company.
We were joined by Year 3 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the sometimes frantic and at other times calm performances.
Through the story, the children were learning about the importance of patience and taking time to appreciate what we have and that all good things come to those who wait.
It was very interesting to see which children associated with the Hare and which felt an affiliation with the tortoise!
It was a very engaging and entertaining performance and we would like to thank the Playhouse for all their hard work and we hope you get a sense of the play from these photographs and music-enjoy!

What a festive two weeks we have had!

With the run up to the end of term and the approach of Christmas 2B have been extremely busy.
They have been had at work learning lines, about their stage presence and rehearsing hard for the Christmas performance of Straw and Order that went down a storm. And like all true professionals they gave their all in every performance. Well done everyone it was fantastic.
Then on Friday they went to watch the pantomime and had a superb afternoon, booing the ‘baddie’, cheering the ‘goodies and singing along to songs.
This week the children have been enjoying a festive, creative week making, cards, calendars, Christmas trees, and giant baubles. They have also learnt about Advent and made christingles.

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
